Masks
Blue
I took this picture of my aunt. She is one of my closer aunts and I really wanted to capture her eyes. Her eyes have a beautiful blue that really pops. I took the opportunity to make it into a mask. Making everything else black and white really made her blue eyes pop even more, making them really look beautiful and creating an engaging image to look at.

Fire Ball
I took a picture of this fire because I thought that the orange fire would stand out against the black and white background. I took the image in my backyard, my mom lights these every night. I decided that it would make the perfect mask. the orange flame and the dark smoke really stand out to make this image appealing. |
Pink Flower
I took a picture of this pretty flower because I loved the contrast of the vibrant pink and the mellow green. I felt that I really had to show the beauty of the flower itself so I wanted to only see the shade of pink. This is a flower that I planted and watered myself. So this is my favorite out of all of the plants. I also really like the flower because it makes me feel happy inside. So I wanted to make the image a mask because I felt that it would emphasize that feeling of happiness. |
Pink Dots
This is a photo of another flower one that I find the color of less pretty, but one that I none the less love. I like this one because of its subtle differences that set it apart from the other flowers of the same plant. This mask wasn't so much about the contrast between the flower and the stem but instead the colors on the flower itself. Which is why I though that it would make a good mask to use for this assignment. |
Orange Hair
I took this photo in the woods near my house its of my good friend. The reason I really liked this picture and decided to use it for the masks. Is because she looks so happy in this picture, and I think the contrast between her being all smiles and the dark mellow trees is amazing. So bringing out the happiness in this photo and making everything else dark was the real point of this mask, and I really liked how they turned out. |
